SHRIMP RETAIL 2026

1–2 October 2025 (Thursday–Friday)

SHRIMP RETAIL 2026

From Pond to Plate: Building India’s Domestic Shrimp Market through Farmer–Processor–Retailer Collaboration”

Shrimp Retail 2025 at Vijayawada will serve as the national culmination of the 7-city National Shrimp Acceleration Program (NSAP), focusing on collaboration, trust-building, and market integration across farmers, processors, traders, retailers, and food service players. The event positions domestic consumption as the next strategic growth engine for India’s shrimp sector

Concept Note

India is one of the world’s largest shrimp producers, with Andhra Pradesh as its shrimp farming hub. Despite this leadership in production and exports, domestic shrimp consumption remains far below global benchmarks. Changing lifestyles, rising urban incomes, protein awareness, and the expansion of organized retail and food delivery platforms present a historic opportunity to build a strong domestic shrimp market.

The National Shrimp Acceleration Program (NSAP) is a structured 7-month, 7-city national initiative designed to activate demand, strengthen retail capabilities, educate consumers, and connect the entire shrimp value chain—from farmers and FFPOs to processors, traders, retailers, chefs, and e-commerce platforms.
